Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my resin prints not curing properly and I’m hoping someone here can help.
Printer: Creality Halot Mage S
Problem: The resin does not fully harden even after exposure to UV/blue light.
What I’ve tried:
- Re-leveled the build plate properly (standard paper method)
- Cleaned the resin vat (FEP film) thoroughly
- Cleaned the build plate surface
The resin is not curing at all — there are absolutely no signs of hardening.
Even when I run the “cleaning” function (which should fully expose the resin to UV for a few seconds to cure a thin layer), nothing happens. The resin stays completely liquid, with no solid layer forming at the bottom of the vat.
It’s not a case of weak or partial curing — it’s like the UV exposure is having zero effect on the resin.
I can clearly see the UV light turning on, and it appears to be functioning normally during exposure.
also tested the same resin using a separate UV curing machine, and it hardens properly there. I even tried curing it under direct sunlight, and it hardened as expected.
Could this still be a resin problem, or is it most likely an issue with the printer itself? What are the possible causes for this kind of situation?
