Recently switched from Adidas EVO SL to Hoka Clifton 10s. Growing pains...?
I recently swapped my Adidas EVO SL's for Hoka Clifton 10s. I run around 25-30 miles a week. I adored my EVO SL's but I have a variety of lower ankle ligament issues and the EVOs unfortunately do not have nearly enough ankle support or heel drop for me. I bought Clifton 10s to alleviate this, and just feel SO slow and heavy in them. Like my typical jog pace -around 7:50 in SL - feels significantly more difficult in Clifton 10s. The EVO SLs have a ton of pop, and I assumed there would be a drop off in snappiness, but not this much. Is this just a period of adjustment? Has anyone else experienced this?
