Confused about Merit system

I'm pretty confused how our aggregates are calculated in merit lists. I know that the weightage is 75% NET, 15% fsc/a levles and 10% matric/ o levels.

What I don't understand is, most people who are applying to universities rn are in 2nd year, and are going to appear in HSSC II exams this month. And the results of these exams will come till end of august.

So my question is, when will the merit lists be released. From what I've read, most people say end july or start of august. If that is the case, then will our aggregate be calculated using 1st year grades?

If so, are our 2nd year grades useless or are they used in some way when calculating merit?

Pls, if someone knows for sure how this works, answer this query.

I'll be attempting add maths this year, and just wanted to know whether my aggregate will be calculated using maths result or bio result cuz I was pre med in fsc.

Gave my NET today in the afternoon. Here are the qs that came.

Algebra:

Constituted a major portion of the NET.

1- (a-b) = x number, a^(2)+b^(2) = y number. Find (a+b)

2- Factorization (pretty easy)

3- (x-2)/5 + (x+3)/7 = 3

4- Some substitutions (express a certain variable in terms of x and y)

5- Simplified forms whose solution was to multiply each other; not difficult, just a little time consuming.

Trigonometry:

1- Max values of the function sin(2*pi*t) + sin(x*t + pi)
(I don't remember the variable in the second sin, it was either sin(pi*t+pi) or the one mentioned, but the qs was of this form)

2- sinx=3/5, find cos x

3- Complementary angles of cot 90 and sin 30

4- 7cos**^(2)**x + 3sin^(2)x= 5 (or another number I dont remember), find cos x

Geometry:

1- Angles of at triangle are x, 2x+3 and 3x-3. Find the smallest angle.

2- Number of lines of symmetry of a pentagon.

3- Two angles of a triangle are complementary, what is the 3rd angle

4- Two angles are in complement and one of the angle is 5 less than the other, find the angles.

5- Find the area of the shaded region. Image description: A square inscribed in another square but tilted forming 4 right angled triangles, touching the midpoints of each side of the outer sqaure.

6- A point (2, -3) is reflected 90 degrees clockwise, new coordinates.

7- A point (4, -1) is first reflected from the line y=-x and then reflected again from the line y=0. Find the new coordinates

8- A qs regarding finding sides of a prism after reducing the sides to 1/3 whose area was given.

9- A triangle has coordinates (x, y), (x,y) and (x,y). What will be the new coordinates after 90 degrees anticlockwise rotation? (x and y are numbers I don't remember)

Other Qs:

Ratios were tested heavily in the form of word problems, a portion I was particularly surprised to see.

1- a, b and c are in continued proportion, find b^(2)

2- A contributed 1k rupees for one month, and B contributed 2k rupees for two months. How should the profit of 600 rupees be divided among them

More qs but I'm afraid I don't remember the statements.

About 10 qs of probability.

1- 5 green, 3 red and 7 blue balls. What is probability that neither bal drawn is green?

2- A family has two children. What is probability that third child will be a girl?

3- Two fair dice are rolled, what is the probability that sum of numbers is a prime number

4- What is probability that the person in the image reaches from point A to point B. Probability of each door being open is 1/4.
Image description: Three doors between point A and B. Any door can be utilized.

Some random word problems:

1- Population of a town is 12m, which increases 10% every year. What will be the population after 4 years.

2- A train departed at 8am and travels at 54kmh. Another train departed at 9 15am and travels at 72kmh. At what time will the second train catch up to the first

3- f(x)=x^(3) + x. Is the function even, odd, implicit or composite.

4- Sum of first 6 elements of the series: 2, 6, 12, 20...

5- Who invented Logs

English

1- Brook meaning

2- Antonym of persuade: a. Prevent b. Discourage c. Thwart. d. Dissuade

3- His _____ features reminded me of the missing links: a. Euphemistic b. Simian c. Vicarious d. Skin

4- Fire: burn :: Ice: ____ a. Cold b. Chilly c. Freeze d. Sick (Not sure about this qs statement, kindly correct if you remember)

5- Enthrall meaning

6- Synonym of eradicate: a. Expel b. Extirpate

7- Odd one out: a. Haversack b. Rucksack c. Power pack d. Back pack

8- Most closely related to "Wet blanket" = Useless person (what I chose)

9- Clamorous meaning

10- Penurious meaning

11- Ephemeral meaning

That's all I remember. It ain't much, so hopefully others who attempted can contribute. Please note that I mentioned those qs only which are less common, or atleast, I think they are.
