Hii! I have a cowboy OC that I’m trying to design a horse for, and I need to decide on a breed. I reeallly want to give him a Clydesdale because they look absolutely sick and they’re my favorite breed, buuut I did a bit of research and that‘s not what the breed is used for. Is it too unrealistic to give him one anyways? I’m going for some degree of accuracy. If not, are there any horse experts who know another breed that might be a good riding horse with a distinct look like a Clydesdale?

i am also open to lore reasons for his decision to get a Clydesdale. My current idea is maybe he just thought it looked cool and didn’t do any research (because he’s not the brightest), but if anyone has any ideas for that those will work too.
