What’s the origin of the idea that France is the “country of love” and French is considered the “language of love” ?

Am I the only one who feels like this ?People still talk about Real Madrid’s three-peat, Guardiola’s Barcelona, and even for older fans AC Milan 89/90 . But will PSG have that same kind of legacy ? Will people still remember this run years from now ?
