I'm a 40 year old mom and a nurse and I've found my clothing basically alternates between two uniforms...hospital provided scrubs at work and leggings on my days off. I like clothes to be practical and functional but also would love to have some quality options to wear for a meal out, weekend BBQ, celebration etc.

I've never enjoyed spending time shopping and am finding myself at a loss for how to shop at my age and with hardly any brick and mortar stores left.

This seems like a silly question but how do people shop?

- Local retail or secondhand stores (seems way too limited and time intensive!)

- Online (how do you narrow down what you want and have any idea on fit without ordering multiple sizes?)

- Rent to buy through something like Rent the Runway

- Styling boxes like Stitch Fix

In my ideal world I would enter in my height/weight/age/body type/style preferences into a database and be given a handful of influencers to browse...click the outfits I like and be done with it 😄

We're a family of three and are currently on a Covered CA plan as neither my husband or myself has insurance benefits through an employer. We will be out of country from June 15th through the end of July and I am trying to decide what to do with our health insurance.

We have coverage while abroad so I would like to eliminate any unnecessary coverage and premiums while we're gone. I'm pretty sure I can discontinue our coverage July 1st and re-apply through the marketplace for a new plan beginning August 1st, stating we've had a qualifying life event with the move.

Our premium is $2k a month so I keep toying with the idea of cancelling June as well but that would leave us uninsured 6/1-6/15. Does anyone know if there is some sort of retroactive coverage available if something catastrophic does occur doing those two weeks?
