Help with at home colour to hide bad balayage
Edit: adding a photo in comments
I had a really horrible bad balayage done in early January, after many years of having babylights and natural looking blonde in my hair. The hair stylist in a new country over bleached my hair with really harsh foils, the result is that right now my hair looks orangey/yellow blonde and not natural, with a pretty obviously harsh line where my natural darker colour has grown a few inches.
I can’t really afford to get my hair done right now and also I’m scared to go again in this city where it’s not my native language.
My question is: what would be a semi permanent solution to help blend/ tone down the bad balayage for a few months until I go back to my home country? At that point I will have 8 months of regrowth. I don’t want to do anything permanent or that would affect future salon visits and my ability to go back to my usual natural babylight golden blonde.
Would a semi permanent hair colour do the trick and wash out after a certain number or washes? Or would that damage my hair and leave permanent colour deposits? I’ve never coloured at home so I’m not really sure how they work or what type of product I should be looking for.
I like a natural, creamy beige blonde/ soft golden blonde. Something natural with a little bit of golden tones/warmth but not brassy or orange.
Any recommendations for types of products to use + any brand or product names greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!
