CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDGING
Recommendation for a laptop for editing
- Budget: ₹60,000 (India)
- Prefer new, but open to certified refurbished if the deal is really worth it.
- Priorities: performance and display quality first, then build quality and battery life. Prefer a premium-looking ultrabook-style laptop.
- Weight/thinness matters since I’ll be carrying it around for college, so I’d prefer something portable and not too bulky.
- Preferred screen size: 14-inch
- Main use cases:
- Video editing
- Photo editing
- Multitasking
- Studying/productivity
- Apps/programs I’ll use:
- Premiere Pro
- Photoshop
- Lightroom
- CapCut
- General multitasking/productivity apps
- Required specs/features:
- OLED display preferred
- 16GB RAM
- 512GB SSD
- Intel Core Ultra 5 225H or similar latest-gen processor
- Decent graphics performance
- MS Office lifetime included
- Good thermals
- Reliable build quality
- Good keyboard and trackpad
Looking for something smooth, reliable, and future-proof for the next few years. Display quality and editing performance matter a lot to me. If increasing the budget slightly unlocks significantly better options, feel free to mention those too.
