Hi guys I saw these guys pop up on my search for reusable masks and I was wondering if anyone would you recommend them and if not why? Thank you!

Would anyone be able to help me identify the gem on this ring? My sister and I got it as a mother's day gift for my mom about 20 if not more years ago now. I was around 4-6. My dad thought it was a good idea to let my sister and I pick something for her. Now my mom is passing it on to me. Any help would be appreciated!
