Hi, my 1996 HDJ80L VX, with the air vent in the back as weak air flow in the front,

Just purchased it, Its ok cold but the front AC is all the same strength in the front from low to high, Max is a little stronger but not enough.

I live in a hot climate. The fan next to the evaporator was not full of debris and this is what the evaporator looks like, is it bad? The drain is not blocked.

The back AC you can really feel it at the blowing.

Is the AC motor that is weak, is there enough power going to it?

Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Which website do you recommend to buy parts but also things like plastic pins for pannel, door rubber trim etc, things that is always end up breaking on a 80 series in the US?

Thanks!

Just purchased a hdj80 96, no real any historic on the maintenance, the coolant is leaking a bit but am concerned about the residue of oxydation. Drove it home for 5 hours after purchase in the Dominican Republic with no problems. Is it ok or it might contaminate the coolant?

I’m looking to buy an HDJ80L with a 1HD-T engine.

Overall, the vehicle seems to be in decent condition and the engine appears healthy. However, there are a few things that make me question how well it has been maintained, especially since there are no maintenance records available.

Regarding the big end bearings (BEB), do you typically replace only those, or do you recommend doing additional work at the same time? What about the upper bearings?

Some mechanics here in the Dominican Republic have told me they usually don’t do this job on its own and prefer to carry out other preventive work alongside it.

From your experience, what would you recommend doing as preventive maintenance in this situation?

Thank you in advance.
