I planted Nasturtium seeds about a week ago and I kept the soil lightly damp with a covering to stay dark. Today I have noticed there’s life!! Hurrah!!! However the tallest little sprouts were pressed against the film I had covering the too and are now bent slightly. Should I keep it uncovered now? What about the other seeds that haven’t sprouted yet? What else should I do to keep the babies happy??!
Just bought some cuttings from someone online and they arrived! I’ve never dealt with plants like these (I keep mostly pothos) and would really appreciate help with encouraging root growth so I can pot them! The wandering dude I already put in water.
I got her as a gift from someone, and I used to know what she was but I can’t remember now.
When I got her, there were only 2 leaves I think, and she very quickly put out 3 more. She used to stand upright and tall, but the past month she’s kinda tipping and I’m not sure if I’m watering too much, too little, not enough light, or she needs a bigger pot? I had repotted her from the original small plastic cube she came in about 3 months ago. Almost all her leaves have this curled in brown tip seen in the last photo.
I don’t have any east facing windows, but I do have a large west facing window that gets at least 4-5 hours of direct sunlight in the afternoon before the neighbors building blocks it. I have her placed about 8ft away from the window where she gets bright indirect light but still shaded. I water her with about a half cup of water when the top inch or two of soil feel dry, with liquid plant food maybe once every other week. The soil itself is a mix of organic indoor plant soil, orchid bark, perlite, and lava rocks at the bottom for a little drainage.
I worry I’m not doing her justice and would like some pointers please! I adore her and want her to be happy 🥹
