Design Feature Question
My neighborhood has many 100+ y.o. homes and I often see on the shingle roofs, around 3 feet from the edge of the roof, generally above windows, a pronounced rise in the roof deck and shingles (approx. 1" high x 4' wide). This is mostly on 4 square houses. Im thinking water diversion or snow/ice management but they have gutters. I am curious. Any insight?
