A connection. I’d like to meet someone that is willing to put some time into getting to know each other for a future possible outcome. But first I’d like us to just have fun with it.

Sarcasm and a good sense of humor is seriously needed in my life😅.. I love to laugh and like to make others laugh. Nothing better than knowing someone is smiling because of you. And during that time telling each other little things about ourselves will just come naturally.

I will give a little about me to start.. I’m a single dad to 2 teens 16 and 18. have my own home, same job since I was 20, can’t really say I have all my shit together but.. does anyone really have it all together? My job keeps me pretty active but have a slight dad bod lol.

I’d prefer if you were atleast within a state surrounding NY. Don’t need to know where you’re at just the state would be nice. If someone could match my energy it would almost be a never ending conversation. You’d get my attention, respect, and I’m a great listener. I smoke weed but now days it’s just in the evenings after work. Choose not to drink but I can anytime and I’m a happy drinker. I smoke cigs but want to quit. It’s been on my mind for quite a while. My job keeps me pretty active but have a slight dad bod lol.

Would be nice to find someone to talk with thru the day. Currently at work but can be consistent responding back. I’m funny, respectful, and pretty good at keeping a convo going.

A connection. I know it’s Reddit. Maybe It’s a lot to ask for. But I’m hopeful. I’ve talked to pretty decent people here from all over. Is there a chance to find something that turns from a conversation to something… more? Never know without trying. I’m a single father in New York (nowhere near the city) so there’s a general idea of where I am.
I could write up a list of my hobbies and what not.. but the mystery makes this part of it fun😄. I’m respectful, consistent, can talk about anything. Well anything besides politics. Sense of humor is a must.

I honestly don’t have anything set in stone of what I’m searching for. Recently single, looking for good vibes. Someone with a sense of humor that is up for endless possibilities of what the future holds. Someone with not much of a filter and has no problems communicating. Possibly someone with time on their hands to chat thru the days and a nights. Even at work I can chat pretty consistently. Not afraid to open up and be free to speak about anything and everything. Being able to be vulnerable to someone you feel close to can feel good in many ways, but also can be scary and make it feel like your world is crashing when they disappear.

You never know what someone has been through. Even if they share their story, unless you were there.. you don’t know the entirety of it. No matter how bad you think you have had it, someone’s had it worse. I’ve spent my life being there for everyone else and always neglected my own self worth. But, I’m tired. Tired of feeling worthless. Tired of seeing it be so easy for someone to throw in the towel over the slightest inconvenience. Tired of listening to just never be truly heard.

Sometimes you do cross paths with someone who, just gets it. Understands, listens, pays attention to the details, shows compassion and it just truly feels as if the weight of the world has been lifted off your soul. That broken feeling starts getting smaller and smaller and one day, maybe it scares you. Some people can’t help but self sabotage a situation because they are scared. Worried to be let down again. Worried the pain will just never leave. Or if it shows they will run and leave you behind as you’ve always felt was the way life would be for you all along.

You can’t spend your life pushing people away. Not if you truly want to have peace.. truly have serenity. I want someone in my life willing to fight for what they want. Willing to fight for me as I would never hesitate to do for them. Someone who can stand up and isn’t afraid to see that it is not a one way street. Nothing will ever make the past go away. Nothing…. So, here’s to the future.
Someone, please…tell me why it’s so hard

It’s been a while since I was last on Reddit but have had some good outcomes in the past. Life is too short to not laugh and be happy. And both have been on short supply for some time.
