Ive wanted a millipede for a very long time, and just got 2 on the 26th.

They were sold to me as a certain species and apparently the vendor did not tell me the truth and they were ACTUALLY desert types (i live nowhere near where they come from) which need different care than the species i was told they were. These species are only wild caught apparently, and dont do well in captivity.

One was already on his last legs when i got him home i noticed. i dont think the other owner took good care of him before selling him to me. He passed away yesterday and today he was still limp and completely unresponsive.

I took him to the park and i buried him but i feel so horrible. i feel horrible that i left him in the park, every part of me wants to go back and get him and preserve him. But part of me wanted him to be given back to the earth.

I think i am in denial, so worried that maybe i buried him before he was completely dead.

I just feel so horrible that nobody cared for him before i got him and i couldn’t save him. he was so sweet for the 3 days I had him… it’s not fair. I hate that he probably was so confused why he was taken so far from his home…

Please don’t tell me its just a bug. i love exotic animals so much and they mean just as much to me as a dog or cat would mean to you.

Help! im so nervous. I just got 2 millipedes on the 26th. they were both active and exploring but this one has always been the more inactive of the 2.

I offered some protein and calcium and a small piece of cucumber and strawberry the day i brought them home as a treat and have not offered since. But this one was not as interested in the treats as my smokey oak was.

He’s been in this position since yesterday and isn’t moving. I brushed him with a paint brush gently but he is not responding and his legs aren’t moving. But i know he has been grooming his foot rot (got from previous owner’s enclosure) the past few days.

Is he sleeping for a long time? Do you think he is molting? he wedged himself in this corner and his back end is also sort of curled too.
