Hi everyone!
I'm a beginner, currently following this video to make coasters.
The pattern calls for 3 rounds for the inner section of the coaster (before changing colors):
- Round 1 - Work a magic ring, ch2 (does not count as a st), work 15 dc into the ring, close
- Round 2 - Ch2, *2 dc into every st around. Sl st into first dc. [30 sts]
- Round 3 - Ch2 *2 dc into next st, 1 dc into following st, rep from* around. Sl st into first dc. Ch1 and fasten off. [45 sts]
I'm at the end of round 3 and my coaster is looking a little small, I'd like to add an extra round. How can I modify this pattern to have a round 4 that looks symmetrical? Eg since each round increased by 15 total stitches, should I make round 4 total 60? How should I best get there?
I'd love to understand how to do this so I'll be able to tweak patterns as needed in the future.
Please help a beginner out:) Thanks in advance!
