My 90 yr old Grandmother is blind and deaf and they flagged her with a CP2566 for a return 3 years ago. They say she owes $3600. I have the filed tax return and the cashed check by the IRS. I had to hunt it all down for her. Just sent it in. And: Her grandson got flagged because a company filed a 1099 instead of a 1040 and now says he owes $4k - he barely made $20k his first year and he was definitely an employee. I told him we can send a form asking for reclassification but he just paid it with a credit card because he said he is tired of fighting everything in his life as a veteran and doesn’t want to lose his job.

Where the hell is this kind of aggressive behavior coming from? Someone is teaching this AI agent and I would like to know who.
