I’m in an interesting position - I am an OJ employee and is on MBF and no union. My husband recently got called off a civil service list and is being onboarded for a union position. We have one baby and planning on one more. Question is- whose insurance should we be on?
I think ultimately we’ll end up on NYCE either way. But is it more advantageous for our family to go on his since he’ll have union prescription coverage but I don’t (would need rider)? But if we go on his, do I lose MBF? I like the eye and dental care on MBF more. When I ask HR, they just give me a vague - “do whatever you want” answer.
