Height prediction for 11 year old

Height prediction for 11 year old

Hi all, you guys were so informative with my 13.5 year old. I’m now back with my 11.9 year old. Here’s his stats and his bone age:

Height: 4’5.66” (136.3 cm)
Weight: 28.2 kg (62 lb)
Height percentile: 6th percentile
BMI percentile: 8th percentile
Mom: 5’4
Dad: 5’9.5

Age is 11.9
Bone age is 10

Growth velocity:
Nov 2023 4.8 cm/year
Jun 2024 5.7 cm/year
Jun 2025 4.2 cm/year
May 2026 3.8 cm/year

He really slowed down this past year so we’re going back for a follow up in 6 months. He like my other kid is super lean and doesn’t have a big appetite. But they’re both trying their best to eat more. Another thing that stinks is he’s got a dairy allergy, so eating whole milk/yogurt/cheese is out of the question. I guess if his growth velocity doesn’t improve the next step is to do a growth stimulation test.

My 13.5 year old son is having a tough time with his height. He’s currently 4’11. We just got his bone age done and it says the bone age is 10-11 years old. So he’s still got tons of growing to do. He keeps asking how tall his estimated height will be but I don’t know? I’m 5’4 and dad is almost 5’10. (5’9.5) There is taller genetics on my side because my family is all taller than me, I’m the shortest. (5’6, 5’10, 6’)

Growth history:
7- 3’10
8-4
9- 4’2
10-4’4
11-4’6
12- 4’8
13- 4’10
13.5(now)- 4’11

He’s also very thin. Weighs 74 pounds on a good day.
Hasn’t entered puberty yet. I would say Tanner 1…maybbbbeee going into Tanner 2?

I know sleep and nutrition are the only things he can really control. What do you guys think? What’s a good predicted height? How can I help him maximize his growth? Thank you!
