Hey everyone,
I’m still pretty new to eBay dropshipping and I’m trying to understand how the platform actually works from people with real experience, not just YouTube gurus repeating the same stuff.
Right now I have around 10 products listed. I’m mainly focusing on the gym/workout/fitness niche, but I’m still testing and learning.
The issue is that I’m getting some impressions, but very few clicks and basically no sales yet.
So I wanted to ask people who already sell successfully on eBay:
What matters most nowadays for a new seller? Product choice, account age, pricing, thumbnails, titles, shipping speed, number of listings… what actually moves the needle?
For example, if a listing gets impressions but almost no clicks, what’s usually the main problem? Bad title? Weak images? Wrong pricing? Or does eBay simply not push new accounts much at the beginning?
And if a listing gets clicks but no sales, what do you normally change first?
I’m also confused about suppliers. I see people recommending AliExpress, CJ Dropshipping, AutoDS, Zendrop, local suppliers, etc., but I honestly can’t tell which ones are actually reliable for eBay in 2026.
Is AliExpress still usable or are shipping times too damaging now? Is it smarter to use local/EU suppliers even with lower margins?
And for the fitness niche specifically, do you think it’s still worth entering? Are smaller impulse-buy accessories better, or do bigger products perform better nowadays? Is home workout still selling or too saturated already?
Also, how long did it realistically take before you started getting consistent sales? Because online it feels like everyone claims they made money in 3 days and honestly it sounds fake.
I’d really appreciate honest advice, even harsh truth if needed. I’m trying to learn properly and build something long term instead of quitting after a few weeks.
Thanks to anyone willing to help.
