I’ve been living in Nassau County for over 30 years, and I love many things about it, but it’s gotten to the point where it’s unbearably expensive. I’m grateful for my home because buying a similar one now would mean a minimum 6k per month mortgage before any other expenses. Many of my neighbors are leaving because of the cost of living increases. Just to live in a home in Nassau County and meet basic expenses you need to bring in at least 10k per month. It’s very sad. How are you making this work for you? Are you happy with living here? Do you see yourself leaving due to how expensive it is?
