I was overpaid ESA for several months through no fault of my own (I told them many times to stop, they kept paying me). I am now on a repayment agreement with them where money comes out of my current account monthly to repay.

My question is: how is the tax dealt with? I paid tax on the ESA overpayment. Now I am having to repay it, will the tax I paid be refunded automatically or do I chase with DWP? or with HMRC?
