There aren’t a whole lot of mentions about pierced ears or earrings in the books. We know that at least some of the Capitol people wore earrings, but what about in the districts? In Catching Fire it is mentioned that Mags can make a fish hook with an earring. This got me wondering about how many tributes even have pierced ears. Does Mags have pierced ears? If so, were her ears pierced before or after she won her games? Maybe it’s more common for the career tributes to have pierced ears than those from other districts. And maybe the merchants? What do you think?
