Sanguine Codex
May the streets run with the blood of your enemies. Blood is a potent vessel for those willing to wield it. It contains a vital essence which can be used to fuel esoteric powers, and further has a great propensity for being imbued with magic. Still, those who those who wield blood in this way are rare. To tap into this crimson wellspring is often taboo, and mastering these skills are not without danger for those who explore them. The Sanguine Codex introduces new player options for characters ready to bathe in the blood of their enemies.
The Bloodhound Ranger uses a combination of alchemy and blood-based magics to augment their skills of stalking and slaying their prey, creating concoctions tailored to them specifically. Once they catch the scent of your blood, they'll never lose it.
Monks who follow the Way of Branching Blood have learned how to master the flow of blood through their enemies veins. Speeding, slowing, or stopping this flow entirely all can be used for potent and painful effects to debilitate those they fight against in different ways.
Crimson Blade Fighters utilize their own sanguine sacrifice to craft unique weapons and shields imbued with their own vital essence. These arms become more powerful not just as they master the art, but also the more their own blood runs free onto the battlefield.
Sanguine Reaver Rogues are expert assassins and marksmen who can trace the flow of their enemies blood back to their heart. With a unique and supernatural ability to see an enemies most vital targets as if they had been plucked from their chests and laid bare, the Sanguine Reaver strikes with devastating force.
The Vampiric Sorcerer are inexorably tied to the blood-thirsty undead from which they draw their name, gaining several of their strengths, but also some of their weaknesses. The Vampiric sorcerer learns to utilize their new powers in conjunction with magic to deadly effect.
This codex also features new four magic items, two new talents and feats, five new spells, and two monsters based on this same, sinister concept of utilizing blood to fuel ones abilities.
