Advice

I'm looking to set up a modded server for a friend group, and we'll have a maximum of about 8 players on concurrently.
Right now, the server is capped at 8GB of RAM. On the client side, everyone has their launcher set to allocate 8GB of RAM perfectly fine, so no issues there.
My main questions are:

  1. Can an 8GB server actually handle All the Mods 10 with 8 people playing at once?
  2. If ATM10 is too heavy, what about All the Mods 9? Would that survive on 8GB?
  3. I've heard ATM9 - No Frills is an option, but what exactly does it remove from the main pack? Does it drastically change the endgame/progression?
  4. If the ATM series is just completely out of the question, what are some similar "kitchen sink" modpacks that would run smoothly on an 8GB server for 8 players?

Best modded server modpack

Wanting to start a modded Minecraft server with friends. Planning to just rent a server and am wondering what the best modpack would be. They haven't played much with mods, but we would like there to be a lot to do, but not fundamentally change the game (like mods that have a gimmick to them such as skyblock mods). Have played with FTB in the past and liked it, and astral sorcery my favorite mod so bonus points for that.

TDLR: give me your best modpacks for a server
