As the title mentions. I am a new grad with a pretty sweet job lined up at a Defense Company as a systems engineer, but I am in the process of interviewing with a private IP firm in DC as a Technical Specialist. Suprised that I was even able to get an interview, considering I am a new grad and competing with a lot of examiners from the USPTO, but it may be because of their 4 week workshop and networking through my university, that I'm still in the process.

The Tech Specialist position pays more and the location is more desirable, but the Systems Engineerin position is still very good and close enough to NYC. If I end up with both offers, is it wise to go straight into IP law as a fresh grad or work in engineering for a bit? Ultimately down the line I do want to go into IP law, but I may get imposter syndrome as a fresh grad with only a bachelor's in IP law.
