Made the mistake of reinstalling X

And the first thing I see is a multi-day all-out war between feminists and queer types over porn. Hot takes about about how gay porn is important and naming porn is a ban on queerness. Porn as inherently possessive and abusive. Straight couples as somehow mutual abuse inherently.

Things that strike me are (1) how 2014 this discourse and (2) how the queer movement and feminist demands inherently clash, not just on the train front but in their goals as a whole. Seems like a contradiction that is coming to head now that woman and queer people have the most socioeconomic power in post-industrial financial economies.

Should also mention the generation war aspect, where millennial sex-positive types seem to be unable to understand how genAI porn has really damaged so many upbringings already.

This isn't complicated.

A lot of posters here want an eternal 2016-9 that has little to do with youth and more to do with the only time in their lives that they felt truly connected to the tastemakers of middlebrow or even haute culture. I admit that I sympathize; in my shoes, it was intoxicating to go from a kid from the exurbs, whose only outlet was 4chan or niche auto racing forums to suddenly crashing at the Verso Loft, snorting coke off my ex's tits at Nowadays, you get it.

Poll after poll shows that the only time since the 80's that young straight white men tended Democratic were the Sanders years.

Clinton and the Party hated us. The gay institutions that took over the Democratic Party and their cultural ISA's after labor was crushed hated us. They hated, hated, hated, HATED that kids from "Upper Freehold Township" or "Olathe" or "Mason" were breaking into their party, their cultural institutions. They abhored that we escaped on our terms. They resented that we were frankly more tasteful than their longtime voter hordes.

Unfortunately, we took the bait and ceded ground to their various idpol-drunk shock troops. The cities and Democrats are now their queer city on the hill, and the rest of us have to keep our head down or pretend to love the chain restaurant muck.

Surer sign this zeitgeist has run its course than Bernie losing again. Oh well. It should have been obvious that Silicon Capital's hegemony and shock troops would not cede any ground on their own infrastructure.

Unfortunately, I see no way to log off en masse.

These homes are north of half a million now. Old rural town, middle of nowhere until 2020. Unaffordable to most us who grew up there, who have families and old friends now priced out, but apparently easy to buy if you have a rich dad even after spending 14 years in Federal Prison after being sentenced for "Engaging in a Child Exploitation Enterprise."

You owe this country nothing.
