Weird overexposure on games on linux. (Repost bc i forgot images)

Hi everyone, I am using Bazzite with my og HTC Vive with steamvr. Every time I am playing a game, just as the title suggests, everything is super overexposed. I cant find anything similar to whats happening online. I am using the most recent regular steamvr version and the Proton 11 beta (for that sweet extra vr support). Most games dont even launch on anything else. I see everyone suggesting alvr and wivrn and the such, but none of that will work for me since my headset is not wireless. Am i just shit outta luck for this one, or is there some tool someone could recommend to make this work. I edited my artists rendition to get an idea of what it sorta looks like. (See the images).

Basic specs:
Os: most recent version of bazzite
Cpu: i9 9900k
Gpu: rtx 2080 super 8gb
Storage: some 256gb nvme drive with my os and steamvr and a 1tb sata ssd for games.
16gb of ddr4 (3600 i think)
HMD: original HTC Vive with the base stations and such

I used to use windows, but my drive has since corrupted to so thats sorta out of the question

I havent been able to find anyone else online with this issue, and this really takes the immersion out.

Thanks if anyone can help. Have a nice mothers day!

Edit: my headset is not wireless mb (changed text)
