Hello Everyone,

I am considering upgrading my PC because it is about old as sin, but this whole process is sort of daunting, and I wanted your advice.

My goal is to have a pc that is a little faster at opening applications, can run helldivers 2, and can maybe play cyberpunk on medium settings.

To that end, I have a couple of questions:

  1. based on the specs I give you all is it even worth upgrading or should I just get a new prebuilt PC?

  2. I have two really old PCs and I am thinking about creating a Franken-PC with parts from each and upgrades. Is that feasible or pragmatic?

  3. What part should I focus on upgrading above all else?

PC specs:

1st PC Processor: Intel Core i7-4770S CPU @ 3.10GHZ, 3101 MHz, 4 Core(s), 8 logical processors GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 (192 bit) RAM: 12 GB Motherboard:K30AD_M31AD_M51AD_M32AD Cooling System: TR2 600W ATX 12V 2.3 - Model: TR2-600NL2NC

2nd PC Processor: AMD FX-6300 Six-Core Processor, 3500 Mhz, 3 Core(s), 6 Logical Processors GPU: AMD Radeon R7 200 Series RAM: 8GB Motherboard: GA-78LMT-USB3 Cooling System: Allied ATX 350 W Switching Power Supply - Model: SL-8360BTX

Thanks for any and all help you can offer. I hope you have a great day!
