I am looking for an RP partner interested in writing a story set in the A Song of Ice and Fire universe. I was already a fan of the series, but after watching House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, I became even more invested in the lore.
I am a 25+ writer with ten years of roleplaying experience. I write in an advanced literate to novella style, usually several paragraphs per reply. I tend to respond more often during weekends because I work full time, and my time zone is GMT, as I live in the UK. In terms of pairings, I am mainly interested in MxM, though I am open to MxF if I play the female character and the plot is compelling enough.
I would love a story centred around the Targaryen family and Old Valyria. It could be almost anything, as I do not have a fixed plot in mind yet. Perhaps a party of explorers searching the ruins of the Valyrian Freehold for relics and clues about the Doom, a Blackfyre claimant or bastard son seeking to overthrow the ruling king, or a Targaryen princess rescued by a knight. I am very happy to collaborate and build a plot we both enjoy.
I also understand that not everyone has read all the books or knows the full history of ASOIAF, so I am fairly flexible when it comes to canon. We do not have to follow the lore exactly—we can invent our own minor houses, alter the course of events, reshape dynasties and customs, and so on. As long as the general setting, geography, and core themes remain recognisable, I am happy.
The only thing I ask is that you are comfortable handling a larger cast of characters. One of the things I love most about ASOIAF is that every character has their own motives, and stories emerge when those motives clash. I also prefer when they have more flaws than virtues: a powerful, immortal dragonlord may sound impressive, but often makes for a very dull story. Selfish, grounded, cynical characters who struggle, fail, and lose tend to create far more satisfying narratives.
