Hand grinders

So, when I bought my espresso machine the grinder I got was a baratza Virtuoso+. I got it because I also needed a grinder that could grind coarse enough for cold brew and only had the money for one grinder at the time, so it had to be good enough to do both. The Virtuoso did well enough for espresso up until I got an ims basket. I'm now realizing this grinder does not grind quite fine enough for the ims (I'm at a 1 on the grinder and it still flows a bit too fast) but also each tick on the grinder has too much variance to really dial in a shot. Since I don't want to spend too much on a second grinder, I've been looking into manual grinders. Seems like the 1zpresso j ultra is really great and I've been eyeing it up, but I also have been looking into the timemore s3 esp. The s3 is $30 cheaper on Amazon and I like the grind size adjustment being a dial on the outside, but I can't really find any reviews on it anywhere. So if anybody has either, or both of these grinders, how do you like them and how do they perform and/or compare? I drink mostly medium roasts.

Edit: just realized the j ultra also has an outside dial for grind size, I must have been mixing it up with another one I was looking at, probably the timemore c5 esp I was also looking at at one point.
