I keep seeing services offering “5 Star non-drop Google reviews,” and I’m curious what people’s real experiences are in 2026.
From what I’ve been reading, Google’s detection systems have gotten a lot stricter—AI patterns, account history, review velocity, geo signals, etc. I’m also hearing more stories about reviews disappearing after a few weeks or entire profiles getting flagged or suppressed.
At the same time, competitors in my niche are somehow jumping from ~20 reviews to 150+ pretty quickly. So clearly something is happening behind the scenes, whether it’s legit systems, gray-hat tactics, or just better funnels.
A few things I’d love real-world insight on:
Has anyone here actually tested paid review services recently?
Did the reviews stick long-term, or did they eventually get removed?
Is there any “safe” version of buying reviews now, or is it basically a ticking time bomb?
For those avoiding this route—what are you doing instead to scale reviews faster? (SMS flows, email automation, QR codes, incentives, etc.)
