Hi all,

I’m having an issue with my Mash Fifty 50cc (4-stroke).

The bike starts and runs perfectly fine in neutral. However, the moment I shift from neutral into 1st gear, the engine cuts out instantly. It seems as if the kill switch is triggered. This happens even when I fully pull in the clutch.

The side stand is fully up.
The bike runs fine in neutral
I must pull the clutch to use the starter, and that works
The engine dies immediately upon engaging gear, without releasing the clutch

To me it feels like some kind of safety/interlock issue rather than a mechanical problem. But i have little experience

Could this still be the the clutch switch even though the starter requires it and works?
Is it more like wiring issue or something with neutral sensor or mechanical?
Any known issues with these bikes regarding the interlock system?

Any advice is welcome!

Thanks!
