Their insurance sent me a check after hitting my car. And how to rent a card with and without insurance?

They hit my car when I was in the parking lot of my house, they gave me their insurance and they filed the claim to their own insurance. After a couple of days, person come and inspected and estimate how much it costs to fix my car, then after another couple of days, they sent me the check with $11k telling me to fix my car.

What should I do? I get quoted around and they said costs around $7500, I found one place $6500 as well. But that was just 2 doors, door handles, quarter fender and bumper of Corolla 2019 LE. They not sure if there is any damages behind the exterior, and me neither, but the car runs fine and normal.

Now I am thinking of using the check because it helps me a bit with finance too, and also my car is little high mileage, so for me $11k makes sense but now I am worrying about what if it costs extra for fixing something under the exterior, and I will need to rent a car.

I wonder if I can rent a car from my car insurance without file any claim? and does that increase my premium? because I am such an unlucky driver, I have got into silly and crazy accidents, so I am really worrying about what if I rent a car for three weeks and get into another car accident.

Or should I just let their insurance or my insurance take care of my car, and then rent me a car? Does this make any difference? will I have less responsibility of using the rent car?

Can someone please help me with this!

I am too worrying right now!

Hi everybody,
I am looking for a new Credit Card and a new Savings Account.

I am currently use a debit card from chase, and Credit card from Discover It.

But somehow I don't like the system of Discover, it has been >6months and I still don't see my credit, and also it is too slow, harder for me to manage it somehow. I think I will need to work on this problem, but anyway.

I am looking for a no annual fee credit card that has good % for cashback and good for students. I mainly spend on gas and grocery.

And in the near future I will go to college, stay at dorm maybe, but my spend might be just gas and grocery so probably don't need anything like travel bonus.

Should I keep the Discover It, and open a Savings Account, or should I open a new Credit Card like Apple and its Savings account, or maybe Capital one? Cuz I heard they have good % cashback and around 3.50% APY.
I kinda like anything that is minimalist and easy to manage, and Apple really makes me wanna go for it, but I don't know if it worth it and fits my situation.

Hi everybody,

There is a mini truck that use to pull out the garbage can (the big one) and they scratched and dented my car, like it is not fixable because it bented the edge of the door. Door handles are broken (but still work, just the plastic and stuff like rubber is broken)

But they sent me a check, for like $11k, I get some quote and they said $4-5k even some shop $6-7k
But they told me to report to my insurance because they are not sure if there is damages inside the door, and they recommended me to let my insurance handle everything. But I afraid that it will increase the prices, even though this is 100% not my fault.

what should I do everyone? Please give me any advice, I am really new and bad about this.

I already got into a car accident before, and it increased the price a lot, so I don't want to affect it anymore! 😭

Also my car is 2019 le with 147k miles, its value is less than the paycheck they gave me.
