Platform(s): Playstation 1
Genre: JRPG (pretty sure it was an JRPG, though it might have played more like Secret of Mana)
Estimated year of release: 1995-2000, I know this is basically the entire PS1 life cycle, but I was a child in the 90s, so I don't really remember a year I played it, and the year I played it might not have been the year of release. I know this isn't super helpful, but I guess it was likely not released in 95 or 00, so 1996-99 is a more likely release window, cause I remember I rented it from a video game rental store back when that was a thing, and there were so many games in the 90s that a game's shelf life in those stores was less than a year.
Graphics/art style: 2D. Top Down. I remember it being quite detailed, and somewhat cartoony, similar to Rayman on the PS1, but I remember human characters. I also remember the overworld map being VERY green.
Notable characters: This is the major thing I remember there being a large Pink Elephant as an NPC, similar to the blue elephant from Diddy Kong Racing.
Notable gameplay mechanics: While I remember it being an RPG of some form, it had an overworld level select style map like Donkey Kong Country. I remember the aforementioned Pink Elephant being on the overworld map.
Other details: I live in Canada, so I don't know if that changes anything with regards to what was available in the 90s. I only have the foggiest memory of this game. Every couple of years I try to find it with no success, and I'm kinda worried one day I'll forget all about it. Right now it really just feels like I dream I had as a kid that I remember.
