I just purchased the 11 inch M5 iPad Pro and a new Apple Pencil Pro, and the pencil is not connecting to the iPad. I have tried all of the suggested solutions that I have found online (in every possible order: forget the pencil in Bluetooth, power off the iPad, force restart the iPad, reset connectivity settings, etc.) and the pencil will still not connect.
I affix the pencil to the magnet at the top of the iPad, it connects for a split second, and then shows “Not Connected” immediately afterwards in the Bluetooth menu settings. Sometimes, the pencil’s charge status appears briefly (stuck at 60% each time it appears despite the pencil being connected overnight), but it still shows “Not Connected in the Bluetooth menu.
This seems to be an issue with the magnet (either in the iPad or in the pencil) not holding onto the other device and giving the pencil a chance to get connected, and this appears to be an issue that others have experienced in one form or another.
Has anyone here had this issue and have found any solutions that work? Please let me know, and thanks in advance!
Yours in Apple,
Chris
