Hi all,

I’ve recently fitted a charging cradle to my wife’s MK9. It’s nothing fancy, with a USB C plug. Initially I used a 12v usb adapter and plugged this into the socket in the middle compartment. Seemed to be charging ok but since realised the infotainment screen is partially unresponsive when it’s charging a phone. It won’t let me press ok on the initial disclaimer bit. If I unplug it, I can then press this. If I then plug it back in again, I can do certain things on the screen (change tracks, volume etc) but not others (cancel traffic alerts, end calls). I thought this might be the socket so I tried the other 12v then the usb socket in the centre compartment- same result.

Anyone had a similar issue? Any advice appreciated. Many thanks 🙏

Hi interested in a GT6 pro. Had a look at one and the build looks fantastic. My concern is that there’s no real bumper around the screen and jt will be susceptible to knocks, scratches etc. I’m not exactly bear grills but it would be nice to keep it in good nick.

I’ve seen a few silicone covers for it but it seems a shame to cover it in something cheap. Does anyone have anything on theirs which looks decent and offers a bit more protection?

Hi all. Locked in a smart watch dilemma and can’t seem to find the right one.

Requirements:

-Decent build
-Good UI / companion app
-Needed for notifications only- no real necessity for health, fitnesses, sleep etc.
-Must have a strong vibration for calls- will need to wake me up in the night for work calls.
- Rugged with decent waterproofing (I’m not swimming or diving but don’t take it off for showering.
- battery of at least 36 hours, ideally a whole week
- less than £350
- big. Love a big watch!
- available on Amazon
- compatible with iPhone (16 pro max)

Explored so far:

-Apple Watch. Great but the battery life is so poor. 🤯
- Amazfit. Everyone seems to rave about them but I’ve had to return three for various issues (2x Bip6- one mine, one daughters, and an Active Max). Perhaps I’ve been unlucky but I’ve had all manner of issues with both build and software (particularly notifications which were all over the place).
- Huawei GT6 pro. Nice watch but had concerns over durability. The screen seemed to have little protection so changed that for…
- Garmin Instinct 3 50mm AMOLED. Thought I’d cracked it with this. It was overkill in terms of the health features I’d rarely use but it’s a lovely watch, rugged, 10atm waterproof. Decent companion app….but. Only vibrates twice on ringing which is insufficient to wake me up in the night if I’m on call. Gutted as otherwise it’s perfect. How this hasn’t been addressed is crazy for a big brand.

Really struggling for where to go now so and advice on brands / models I’ve not considered would be good.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,

Recently picked up an Instinct 3 AMOLED. All good so far but I’ve noticed the vibration during incoming calls tends to only do one when getting the call but not a continuous vibration. I can’t see a setting to change this. Can anyone advise please? I often work on call so need it to wake me up in the night and one vibration won’t achieve this. Many thanks.
