What's the best way to go about moving an old ssd to a new pc build?

Sorry if i don't explain this the best, this is my first time building a pc.

I have a bit of a situation on a new pc build. On my current pc. I have an hdd which has my operating system on it, and an ssd. Im running windows 10 with extended coverage.

I dont want to switch to windows 11 because I've never heard a good thing about it, and im not smart enough to do Linux.

I would like to move my operating system from the hdd to the ssd, and put that into the new pc im building. Any important files im going to back up on a flash drive before hand. It's mostly just games on my pc, so i don't mind deleting everything and downloading them again after the fact.

So my main questions are, 1. Should I move the operating system to the ssd, and if I do, will it run on the new pc that has better parts? 2. Would a factory reset of my current pc be beneficial in helping it run faster? (After I back up files of course.) 3. Would this even work, and if not, should I just bite the bullet and get windows 11?

Please let me know the best course of action, or if im missing any info. Im not even sure if I'm asking the right questions, this stuff is hurting my brain
