Hey fellow roleplayers! I'm ChokesJokes, but I go by Mr. Vortex in most places.
I'm looking for a kindred spirit who is interested in freeform roleplaying and worldbuilding. If you feel constrained when you play just one character and wish you could just go off on a tangent and explore what's going on in the far off corners of the world, then you're exactly the kind of person I'm looking for! If you've ever played Microscope before, that's the kind of zooming in and out I imagine will happen, just without the actual game structure.
I'm very open to the type of world we create. If you'd like to DM me with a couple of your world idea pitches, I'll respond with a few of my own! I'm thinking fantasy in general because that's what I'm most used to. The style will not be informational like a wiki, but prose-forward.
I love when my writing partner challenges me to question my assumptions and think about things from new perspectives. With me, there's never a wrong answer, just a new twist to discover the meaning behind. I haven't had a collaborative writing partner in quite a long time, so it might take me a few responses to get back into the swing of it. My responses will probably vary from a few paragraphs to a couple pages depending on how inspired I am. Feel free to be as lengthy as you want though!
Last things last, I'm still thinking about which online platform will best support this style of writing. Something like Notion (or maybe Ellipsus, but I’ve never used it) where we can jump between connected pages at-will seems like a good fit, but let me know your thoughts!
Have a great one, and I hope to chat with some of you soon!
