▲ 2 r/Stress

Diagnosed autistic and ADHD and have always experienced lots of anxiety. Now developed symptoms of OCD and awaiting therapy. For health reasons (and just for my sanity) I need to reduce my stress levels but I have no idea where to start because everything stresses me out. Home life, work life, driving, socialising, shopping, you name it. I worry back to front about every scenario and possibility. Breathing techniques and journalling just don’t cut it. Have tried anxiety medication and didn’t gel with it. Any tips please?

In lane 1, limit is 50, I’m doing something around 47/48. Slip lane coming up with cars entering - no opportunity to move to lane 2 as it’s backed up with traffic. 2 cars coming down, car 1 speeds up and joins in front of me, no issues. Car 2 was behind and then speeds up to meet me parallel - I slow down to about 41 as there’s plenty of space behind me to let them in - but they don’t push on and just sit parallel with me until the slip has practically ended. They make no progress so I push on and they join behind me but by the gestures I got they obviously weren’t happy. Just confused I guess on what I could have done better

Not sure if I am being totally unreasonable or if it’s fair to be disappointed at slow results.

Initial starting weight in June 2025 was 144kg. I’ve taken MJ on and off since then but my commitment was poor so never kept anything off properly. Since March 2026 I have fully committed and have been consistently tracking all of my food and drinks and have gradually increased my daily steps - for context I am very sedentary and work in an office so even a goal of about 7k steps daily is an increase for me.

In March I weighed 141kg and as of today I weigh 136kg. I was initially aiming for 2500kcal, then 2300 and now 2100 a day, as using my current weight and activity levels that’s what most calculators are giving me as a deficit. And I track absolutely everything - weigh everything out, even track things that have ‘0’ calories just for accuracy so I know my deficit is right. I want to increase my activity more but need to ease into that as I’ve got mobility problems too.

UK based. We currently have a Blink doorbell and 2 outdoor cameras with the Sync Module 2 and pay £2.50 a month to be able to view motion clips from the doorbell, but it’s nearly £10 a month if you want all 3 devices. It’s so slow to load and hasn’t recorded anything in the past 12 hours - we live on a very busy street so it’s near impossible that there’s been no motion in that time. Looking to swap to a more reliable brand with the following features: no hardwiring needed and can be powered by batteries, preferably no need for a subscription, and able to view clips easily in an app. If anyone could please recommend cameras they have and find useful

Interested to know if I was in the wrong here. Waiting for a parking space in an extremely busy car park, people waiting everywhere for spaces. Spotted a car packing up so held back and put my indicator on to signal I was waiting for that space. There was a car about 2 spaces ahead of the car that was leaving, with hazards on. As there were lots of cars pulling in and out, and they were a distance away from this car, I assumed they were waiting for something else - as if they were wanting the space I’d imagine you’d use an indicator? Parked car left, I gave them space to get out and then pulled in and a minute later the car that was ahead decided to pull in behind me, ultimately blocking me in, and came to my window to give me a lecture about the highway code (?). I said I wasn’t aware they wanted this specific space given their positioning and no indicator and apologised but now wondering if I was out of order. If they’d have had their indicator or reverse lights on I’d have passed.
