Thoughts about this please

Join any random iit random branch(say iit hyderabad medical device) then prepare for cat after 1st year then join any iim and get placed. Now now i know u guys willgive me lots of gaaliyas for this xD, but it's just a possible career path also both iit+iim tag instead of joining any random mid tier nit then grinding for placements, please don't troll me and give me your opinions on what u think of this.

IIT bhu decision science placement statistics

Packages seem decent, but only 8 are placed if I remember correctly there were 12,13 students and they have stated 1 went for higher studies. 3 were on intern, 2 in intel and 1 in hsbc but all 3 of them didn't got ppo so idk if they counted that.

Can u please tell one thing? Like in gate cse solving pyqs is a game changer but as da has only 3 years pyqs then what should be the strategy to practice questions of different subjects? Should I only depend on test series? Please guide me.
