K7 600 lost power

K7 600 lost power on me a couple weeks ago while riding. Now every time i turn the key in the ignition, completely nothing. Only reaction I get is the front headlight. Here’s some things I already checked and replaced.

  1. ⁠Tested battery, and the ground wire and both tested good.
  2. ⁠Ran diode test on rectifier and from what i could see i didn’t have any bad diodes. Inspected stator too and it wasn’t burnt up or anything.
  3. Checked all fuses under the seats YES I CHECKED THE GREEN 30A AS WELL. Weren’t popped but had corrosion on the prongs so i replaced but that didn’t fix the issue. 
  4. Tested the orange wire and red wire that go from the ignition to the wire connector. And for some reason it was giving me some whacky DC voltage #’s like 80-100+ so this is where i think an issue might be. The red and orange wires looked like they might’ve got pinched at some point bc the plastic on the wire is a little torn, but the wires are still completely intact.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues with these 05-07 GSXRS. Because I’m about to throw in the towel, and my mechanic is busier than ever of course.

I was riding a lot yesterday taking my test to get my endorsement, bike was starting and stopping for an hour straight no issues. Then I leave there to go to work, and the bike cut out on me going about 50mph.

Now i won’t get the dash lights, or fuel pump clicking on, only the headlights.

I charged the battery up and checked some fuses and still nothing. Then I went to take the stator off and this is how it looks.

Does anyone think it’s something different? Just based off the condition of that stator? I inspected the rectifier and it looked okay. I have a cheap multimeter but absolutely suck at testing wires lmao
