Hello all, just wondering what like..."normal" is. I work in healthcare and my wife is a SAHM to our 15 month old. I do my best to split home responsibilities (like last night we each got 4 hours of sleep because kiddo is sick and the night was terrible. Even though I needed to go into work today, see patients, and make decisions about their healthcare).

But the wife woke up sick and after discussion, I called in sick to work so I could do kiddo responsibilities today. It was very impactful to the clinic, a last minute call out, and everyone is pissed at me. I'm also worried, based on how our toddler was sick, that the wife will be sick 3 days and then I will and then there's a week where we're already running a skeleton crew at work.

Just wondering if that was typical. Dads with SAHM, do yall call in sick to work when your wife is sick?
