Hi everyone,

I attached the certificate photo. I’d love to hear what kind of stone this is, how rare it might be, and why it looks much more orange in real life than “fancy vivid yellow-orange.”

To me, it doesn’t really look yellow at all. Any thoughts?

I’ve attached the certificate photo for reference. I would appreciate any insight into what type of stone this is, how rare it may be, and why it appears significantly more orange in person than the “Fancy Vivid Yellow-Orange” color grade suggests.

To my eye, it does not appear yellow at all, so I’m curious whether this is normal for stones graded this way or if there may be another explanation.

Thank you in advance for any information.

Hi everyone, I came across this ring listed online as “Vintage Ring Alexandrite SILVER 875 Soviet star stamp USSR,” and the price seems pretty high.

From the photos, the stone looks purple, but I’m not sure if that means anything. To those who know about gemstones or vintage jewelry: does this look like it could really be a genuine alexandrite, or is it more likely something else?

Do you think it has any real value, or is the listing just overpriced? Any insight would be appreciated.
