Hello - I’m wondering how to greet people on my trip to Berlin when I don’t speak German. I only speak Spanish and English.

I know most Germans speak English (probably better than myself) but I don’t want to start every interaction going straight to English as this seems rude. Do I just say “sprechen sie englisch?” Or is there a more considerate way to go about it?
