I was on the lookout for a Barbour jacket on the secondhand markets and found a deal for an International Original Waxed Jacket in my size.

I bought it and it fits me perfectly but I realized I'm just never going to wear the belt. I've tried tying it behind me and it just felt very clunky. I love the jacket otherwise and was thinking of just taking it to my tailor and getting the belt loops removed, holding on to them in case I ever change my mind.

Has anyone else ever made this kind of alteration on their belted Barbour? I realize most people who buy a jacket with a belt want the belt, but the secondary market is what it is.
