Is this a wasp?
Spotted this guy in the backyard in southern ontario. Cat was very interested in him until he crawled into what looks like an ant hole in the second picture.
Would rather not have wasps in my backyard, we quite enjoy sitting out here and eating our food outside, so advice is appreciated
