How Do I (19M) Get Better At Kissing For My Next Date (19F)?
So yesterday, me and this girl went out and we had a great time. I opened the doors for her, gave her my jacket when it was raining or cold, picked her up and dropped her off, etc. We went bowling and then got dinner and ended up talking for hours in the car.
When we drove back to her house, we talked for about 20 more minutes before I had to head back on the road (1.5 hour drive). We both expressed how we each had a great time, then I asked if I could kiss her. She said yes and I went in for a kiss… but I don’t know how to kiss. I completely messed up, got flustered, backed up, and said “hold on”. I confessed that I’ve never kissed anyone before and she was surprised but understood. She took the lead and I basically just stood there and let her kiss me.
We laughed about it and she said “practice on that” as I went to my car. She knew that I had a girlfriend at one point but she didn’t know that the relationship had never reached a point of kissing (despite dating for 4 months).
We’re both Catholic and dating to marry so we seem to be on the same page for what we want. Overall, the date was amazing and we really had a lot of fun. The problem is… I don’t know how to get better at kissing for the next date. Her being the same height as me (5’10) also threw me off since positioning was different than I had expected. I don’t want to mess up the kiss on the second date but I don’t know how to improve.
