Ive got 12 tattoos, half of which I've added to or modded in some capacity because I didnt "love love LOVE" it or just felt it was missing a certain **UMPH**
I have this piece (pictured, right image), half done before I stopped "trusting the process" and told the artists please stop because im truly not liking this design (as I've said multiple times prior and was told "just trust me"). I loved their art style and previous work, so whatever happened here??— anyways.
I thought over what I could do to make it something I love but after ***alot*** of thinking it over, I decided to laser it off.
I am i think 8 sessions in (pictured, left image). It hurts significantly worse than the tattoo itself. A single session costs as much as the tattoo itself did. I knew with the super thick black snd brown work, this was going to take **alot** of sessions, so I went and got an unlimited package for one p r i c e. Mega costly. Almost as much as all of my other pieces combined. 16 months in and its still not fully gone.
Just making this post because I've been seeing an insane amount of "just got this tatt. I dont love it, remove it?" and just wanted to give my advice /two cents as someone who has multiple tattoos, many of whom I didnt absolutely love love at first but absolutely do now, and ended up getting one laser removed.
TL;DR laser removal is VERY expensive, VERY painful, and takes a VERY long time. Consider reworking your piece *before* considering laser removal.
