I, as a kid, took the concept of a diary too literal and thought I had to write down everything I did. I would sit down and write about what time I woke up, had breakfast, brushed my teeth etc which bore me and me having audhd I would often forget to write so I just gave up quite quickly. It wasn’t until recent years that I realized a diary was more of a log that was meant for interesting stuff that happened in your day, it makes me sad that I don’t have anything to look back on especially because I don’t remember anything before 15
