With 18,844 songs in my pocket, it feels great! Here are the parts I used for this build:

• iPod 4th Gen 20GB (Mono): RMB 99 / $14

• 256GB SSD: RMB 289 / $40

• CE/ZIF to M.2 SATA 2242 SSD adapter: RMB 30 / $4

• CE/ZIF ribbon cable for iPod 4: RMB 30 / $4

• 2450 mAh battery: RMB 25 / $3.5

I sanded both sides of the adapter a tiny bit to make it fit perfectly in the old battery housing. Remember to properly insulate everything to avoid shorts. The battery lasts 27h 15m, so I have no complaints at all.
